26 October 2008 Hoof and Woof

This event was held on October 26 under sunny skies.  Great fun was had by all.  There was an English Jumping Course, a Western Trail Course and a Dog Obstacle Course.  A horse and rider was teamed with a dog and owner and the times were combined to make an entry.  The abilities of all were varied so there was fun and laughter, encouragement and applause.  Many were wearing their Hallowe'en costumes during the events and all attended the costume parade.

Ranger, Kappi and I had a great time. Kappi & I were clowns and Ranger and Sandy were witch and broomstick. We were teamed up with different dogs and although we are not used to ring work, we tried the Western Trail and improved each time. The weather was sunny and hardly any wind. Just a slight breeze that would occasionally shift the dog tunnel with a dog in it. Thanks to all the organizers. It was good fun.
